Flowers

I made these cards using the daisy cut in Walk in my garden.  They were cut in the shadow feature at varying sizes from 1 1/2, 1 3/4, 2, 2 1/4.  They were layered and then a brad was added to keep them together.

Owls

I made these owls using the paisley cartridge.  I used the same color to cut the owls and changed the backgrounds.  The owls were made at slightly different sizes.  The yellow card owl is cut at a 2.  The black and white card is cut at a 2 1/4 and the blue card at a 2 1/2.

Monkey cake

My husband does a great job with decorating our cakes for birthdays.  We just had a birthday for my 2 year old.  We went with a monkey theme because he likes to carry around and sleep with a stuffed monkey.

Teacher Appreciation Can

I saw this cute idea to decorate a paint can and put treats inside for teacher appreciation week on underacherrytree.blogspot.  With being a procrastinator I got it done just in time to send it to school on the last day of the appreciation week.

These are the treats I put inside.

The little box with the apple on top had a set of blank cards with envelopes inside.  There were 3 each of the cards.  The video on how to make the box was on madebymomo.blogspot.  The apples on the cards were cut at 3 and the little apple on the outside of the box was a 1 1/2 on the doodlecharms cartridge.

Blog start up

I have been wanting to start a craft blog for a little time now.  I have been exchanging hand-made cards with my husband for many years, but only recently have I started to make cards regularly.  I want to use this blog to keep a record of my cards and share with others.  I was motivated to start the blog at this time to  post my entries for My Pink Stamper challenges for the National Scrapbook Day on Saturday.

NSD challenge #12

This challenge was to make a project using an animal.  I made a birthday card for my son turning 2.  One of his animals that he sleeps with is a monkey.  When he saw the card he was talking to the monkey saying hi and then gave it a hug.  Soooo cute.  I made the monkey with Create a critter at a 4 1/2.  The vines were also cut at a 4 1/2 and the grass was cut at a 1 1/2.  The happy birthday was a 2 1/2.

NSD challenge #11

The challenge was to make a project using the colors of the rainbow.  I used different strips of paper from the DCWV Spring Showers Stack.  I cut the birthday hat from doodlecharms at a 4 3/4.  I added some ribbon from JoAnne's.
